I have gained 20 pounds over the last year. I have decided to put real effort into losing it. I gained this weight and I was running 5-6 days a week. You're 100% correct about exercise. It doesn't change the scale.

Yes! Precisely that. It's not the running, walking, going to the gym, whatever. It's what we eat! That's the only thing makes a diff. You can't out run too many calories in! It's a real slog but that's the only way. Good luck losing it. And thanks very much for commenting
